The highest levels of responsibility at Mars & Co are those of the Senior Professionals. Mars & Co's Senior Professionals must have demonstrated to the Chairman they can play a major role – at the global level - in the optimization of our efforts to pursue our development opportunities and in the coordination of our technical and training initiatives. To carry out their specific responsibilities, Mars & Co's Senior Professionals have a heavy travel schedule.
There are 2 levels of Senior Professionals, in increasing level of importance:
- Senior Vice President (SVP)
- Executive Vice President (EVP)
As mentioned on the previous page, Mars & Co Vice Presidents are eligible for promotion at some point in time to the rank of Senior Vice President. Beyond all the qualities expected of a Vice President, a Senior Vice President is recognized for his/her qualities in training consultants as well as his/her leadership in the development of the Mars & Co intellectual "toolkit". He/she is furthermore recognized for his/her contribution to the development of the "team spirit" within the Firm. The professional respect inspired with colleagues ensures his/her ability to contribute to the development of Mars & Co consultants.
There is at least one Senior Vice President in each of Mars & Co's offices. Senior Vice Presidents are in turn eligible for promotion at some point in time to Executive Vice President, the highest level in the ranks of Senior Professionals at Mars & Co.
Executive Vice Presidents are the only Mars & Co professionals with the authority to represent Mars & Co's Chairman to the outside world. This prerogative is extended to the Senior Vice Presidents in the offices with no Executive Vice President and a single Senior Vice President.
